Job Description

Jones e-global library seeks a high school digital media collections curator to harvest and catalog digital content into an online repository. Denver area candidates are preferred, but remote work will be considered for the right individual. This is a six-month, full-time contract position, with the possibility of renewal.

· Harvested content databases via predominately (but not exclusively) automated means · Extensive knowledge of sources of 9-12 content, licensing agreements, content acquisition strategies, copyright considerations, open access digital materials, and metadata standards · Demonstrated selection of content and a strategic vision for supporting Common Core and state standards, objectives of Advanced Placement, college preparatory and international baccalaureate programs, and standards for information literacy in school library programs · Strategically acquired content to maximize program goal achievement within budgetary constraints · Established a vision for the modern high school library and executed against that vision · Implemented accessible and usable materials targeted to the needs of teachers and students, with special attention to the regulatory and instructional requirements of schools and school districts · Collaboratively developed instructional partnerships with teachers that positively and demonstrably impacted student achievement · Facilitated individual and small group research as well as large group instruction using online library resources · Accommodated special needs students through adaptive and assistive technology · Evaluated and implemented digital asset management systems, especially those used in school settings · Participated in school-based decision making committees; knowledge of sources of school funding for library content · Managed media development projects and staff · Power user of research, note taking and citation software tools
