Job Description

The Willmar Public Library seeks a full-time Library Assistant IV/Young Adult Program Coordinator. Hours will include evenings and weekends. An Associate degree and at least one year of work experience in a public or other type of library, or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience necessary to perform the essential duties of the work, is required. Preference may be given to candidates possessing a Bachelor’s degree or higher with coursework in library science. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Additional qualifications include customer service and public relations skills, written and oral communication skills, program planning, experience working with teenagers, supervisory experience, and technology skills, including eBooks. Foreign language fluency is desirable. Competitive benefit package includes Minnesota Retirement (PERA).
