The Sterling Correctional Facility (Sterling, CO) has a vacancy for a professional Librarian. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a team of Library Technicians, including hiring, training and evaluation. Under the direction of a Program Manager and Regional Librarian, this full-time position will plan, coordinate and supervise public/school-type (not law) library services to adult offenders at two libraries, where an average of 90% of the population uses the library. Required experience: two (2) years of professional library work experience in a public, school, academic, or special (not law) library is required. Required competencies are varied and include: proficiency with Microsoft office suite and integrated library systems, customer service skills, ability to train and instruct staff and patrons, active listening skills, flexibility, effective organizing and prioritizing skills, and strong written and oral communication skills. SUBSTITUTIONS: A master\'s or doctorate degree in library science or related field of study from an accredited college or university may substitute for the bachelor\'s degree and one year (MS) or two years (PhD) of professional experience respectively.HR Info
