The Visiting Reference/Instruction Librarian is a temporary position available immediately ending June 30, 2013, with a strong possibility of renewal.
Teach sessions in the Library Instruction program in coordination with Introductory Composition and Intermediate Composition courses.
Share responsibility with other reference librarians in staffing the reference desk, 10-12 hours each week, including an evening shift.
Teach faculty requested bibliographic instruction sessions, as assigned.
Assist in collection development work in areas to be determined.
Member of the Reference/ Instruction Library Team.
Member of the Librarians’ Council.
Possible assistance managing electronic resource collection.
Other duties as assigned.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary: $34,000.00 annually, prorated to actual months worked

Required: ALA-accredited master’s degree in library or information science; demonstrated ability to work independently and contribute as part of a team; excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills; proficiency in use of online search systems
Preferred: Library instruction experience, especially classroom teaching; library reference experience, or equivalent.
