Job Description
You are the motivator, coordinator and supervisor of day-to-day operations and functions of the library. You assist the director with record keeping and preparation of all required reports and grants, and participate in formulation of policies and development of procedures related to the operation of the library. You must have excellent customer service skills. You will interpret policy and explain procedure to the public. You encourage staff to jump on board with new library trends, issues and technology through enthusiasm and example in educating, introducing and training. You will promote and market new trends and services of the library. You possess strong computer and technical skills; and with these skills you have a wonderful opportunity to assist members of the community with the introduction and training of new equipment, devices and/or gadgets acquired through a current publicized technology grant and any future acquisitions.Additional Info & Requirements
The library has a 7 member governing board; it is a fairly new board. The board and director have been working on a new plan and a planning committee has been working hard on new job descriptions, planning for more benefits for full time employees as well as part time. At the present time the board puts $200 a month in to an HRA account to be used for medical. The Dolores Public Library is located on the banks of the Dolores River which flows through the town of Dolores, Colorado in the Four Corners region where the mountains meet the desert, and close to many national parks, monuments and forest. Dolores is a small town with a large community spirit located in Montezuma County (approx.950 town pop, 30,000 county pop.)Not only do we have the Dolores River flowing through town, but McPhee, the second largest reservoir in the state sits at our front door.
