Job Description

Search reopened. The Stoughton Public Library, Stoughton, WI is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) professional Youth Services Librarian to oversee operations of the Youth Services Department. The Library is looking for someone who has experience: working with children of all ages, planning and doing programming, working with collection development, supervising staff, and experience managing and working within the parameters of a budget. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within an integrative collaborative management environment and actively participate on the library management team; schedule innovative and creative programming; teach the use of the public library as a lifelong resource; help staff excel in technological explorations; and consistently present the Stoughton Public Library and its resources to the public in a positive manner. This job also includes the opportunity for teen programming, grant writing, outreach via a wide variety of methods, and an opportunity to exercise creativity in traditional and technological library settings. The work includes some nights and weekends.
