Job Description
The IT Technician is responsible for day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and repairs to computers, printers, and other end-user technologies throughout the library and on the bookmobile. Secondary responsibilities include providing software and technology assistance to library staff and patrons. Support and manage computers and related peripherals including: o Installation and maintenance of computers o Installation and maintenance of peripherals o Cleaning of computers and related peripherals o Hardware and software upgrades o Image and re-image computers as necessary or requiredAdditional Info & Requirements
Hours will vary depending on projects within the library that need to be completed.High school diploma or equivalent Working knowledge of current popular operating systems. Experience with current popular office productivity software. Experience with computer hardware and related peripheral upgrades, troubleshooting and repair. Preferred Certifications: o CompTIA A+ o MCSE o CCENT or CCNA Experience with o Current popular antivirus software packages. o Imaging multiple computers. o Current popular server environments and directory structures. o Networking technologies (TCP/IP, routers, hubs, switches, firewalls, filtering)The Community
