The Talbot County Library Board seeks an energetic, collaborative, and innovative leader to serve as library director.  The right person will be committed to making the library central to the county’s cultural and economic life.  With two facilities serving more than 37,000 residents, our talented staff continually seek new and better ways to provide outstanding customer service.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Library Science (from a library school accredited by the American Library Association) and the ability to obtain a Maryland Public Library Certificate within six months of appointment.  Highly qualified candidates will have a minimum of five years of progressively responsible public library management experience.

Salary is negotiable from $90,000 based on experience and education.  The library also provides an excellent benefits package.
