Job Description
Clear Creek County Library District is seeking a creative and flexible person to work with the public and be responsible for operations and supervisory functions for the Georgetown Library. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: working in a team environment with the Library Director and other managers; working closely with the Friends of the Library; implementing goals, programs and policies for the building and District; scheduling, training and managing a paid and volunteer staff; collection development; and building maintenance. Other duties as required. The Branch Librarian must have a working knowledge of all positions at the library and will train staff to help complete assigned job duties. This person will assist the Library Director in the preparation of the annual budget and short- and long-term planning for the building and the District. A bachelor’s degree and three years of library experience or a Master’s Degree in Library Science. Must communicate effectively in person and in writing. Proficiency with computers required.
The Community
Clear Creek County is in the mountains about 30-45 minutes west of Denver, depending on how fast you drive. It includes Georgetown, Idaho Springs, and parts of Evergreen. This is a community used to fabulous library service.
