In addition to a vast combined collection of books, movies, and music of the public libraries and community colleges in the network, the catalog includes unique collections from the Brookfield Zoo and the Morton Arboretum. The SWAN headquarters and staff office is housed in Burr Ridge, Illinois, in the RAILS building.
