Job Description
The City of Cañon City is accepting applications for the position of Library Technician for the Library/Museum Department. The primary purpose of this position is to assist with and support planning and programming at the public library. Duties include assisting library patrons with finding and/or reserving books, using computers and copiers, issuing library cards, checking books out/in, answering questions, and explaining/enforcing library policies under the direction and supervision of the Deputy Library Director. This position will focus on planning and presenting library programs, researching stories, reading books to groups of children, and visiting schools.HR Info
Qualifications include high school diploma and six (6) months library experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary starting range is $26,057 – $30,655 + benefits.
