Job Description
Primary Responsiblities
- Facilitate the executive director’s role in managing the library consortium
- Provide direct administrative support for logistic, administrative, and programmatic activities undertaken by the organization. These include, but are not limited to coordination of scheduling, travel, and meeting logistics; administrative support for the Board of Directors, Member Council and some of its subcommittees; taking and disseminating minutes for Board and other designated meetings; drafting routine correspondence, compilation of data for reports, and posting information to the Website
- Support the financial management and procurement activities of the consortium.
- A/P – invoice payment
- A/R – customer invoicing & receipt deposit
- General – maintain balance sheet, P&L, reconcile bank statements
- Budget – work with exec director to create annual budget
- Work with auditor for annual audit prep
- Work with DU for monthly payroll checks (we run our payroll through DU)
- Keep employee records
- Work with benefits administrator
- Minutes of meetings
- Help organize conferences and meetings
- Correspondence as directed by exec director
- Order and maintain supplies
- Help create brochures
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- MS Windows and Office
- Excellent written and oral communication skill
- Ability to work well in a team
- Ability to develop good relationships with external vendors/consultants/contractors

The Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries (https://www.coalliance.org/) is a non-profit 501c(3) organization that was incorporated in 1981 and supports member libraries in Colorado and Wyoming. The mission of the Alliance is to improve library services, expand library resources, create solutions to fit the changing information landscape, and provide good value for our members. Our member institutions drive the development of our products and services. We believe that working together brings benefits to all libraries, and many of our products and services are available for non-Alliance member libraries to join. The Alliance currently has 15 member libraries.
The Community
Consortium office. Work with member institutions. Mainly large research libraries and the Denver Public Library. Work environment-pleasant office setting with 5-6 employees.
