Job Description

If you can compose a speech, a photo and a sentence, enjoy both graphic design and graphic novels, read your community as well as your Kindle, and find it as easy to be social as to be on social media, then we are looking for you.  Delta County Libraries is seeking a Communications and Outreach Manager to oversee library public relations through outreach, publicity, and programming.  

Directs and oversees the communications functions of the Delta County Public Library District through outreach and publicity.  Leads Library District communications and public relations by communicating in a variety of media and understanding community desires in order to align communications and public relations activities with the Library District mission.  Coordinates or assists with program planning and delivery with Management Team and staff in District libraries. 

This person will work with staff and community members to enhance the library district’s presence in Delta County.  Please explain in your cover letter how you approach presenting to large groups. 

Additional Info & Requirements

  • Accredited in Public Relations (APR) designation or other demonstration of competence in the field of communications and marketing preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in technology, computers, Microsoft Office, the internet, basic knowledge of website management and other office equiptment.
