Job Description

Colorado School of Mines invites applications for a Circulation Coordinator (Library Technician III) to direct administrative operations for the Circulation section of the Arthur Lakes Library.  This position supervises two full-time Library Technicians as well as student workers.  Sets and maintains customer service standards, performs circulation check-in/check-out, registers patrons and updates patron records.  Answers patron inquiries and instructs them in use of the library catalog and basic reference resources.  Negotiates patron account and service issues, as well as resolves patron behavior issues.  Manages front desk funds and is responsible for collection maintenance. 

Requirements: Four years of general library experience involving shelving and maintaining library materials, with two years of technical library experience providing customer service, reference and patron account services, and creating/revising procedures.  Other requirements include strong service orientation, knowledge of library automated circulation systems and basic computer skills.
