Job Description

What your key responsibilities will be:

  • Develop lesson plans, learning materials, and learning experiences to facilitate students' information literacy and research strategies.
  • Investigate and employ effective pedagogical strategies.
  • Teach and coach research needs of patrons through research consultations and reference desk duties.
  • Schedule, assign, and collect statistics for library instruction requests.
  • Engage in special projects to support library goals and tenure track librarians with their research and professional service activities.

Qualifications

What we require:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • 1 year experience in teaching library research skills to students.
  • Experience in development of learning objectives and lesson plans.
  • Classroom experience.

What we’d like you to have:

  • Master's degree in English, composition, rhetoric, communication, education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with community organizations such as high schools.
  • Recent experience in CU Boulder's program for writing and rhetoric.
  • Demonstrated instruction experience.

Preferred qualifications may be used to further reduce the pool of applicants to those who are most highly qualified.
