Job Description
The Library Clerk furnishes a high quality level of customer services to library users. Working at the circulation desk/return area includes checking library materials out to the public; collecting fines; requesting and issuing library cards to customers; answering customer questions using the SIRSI system; checking in returned materials; arranging library materials on book carts for re-shelving; and re-shelving returned materials.
This is an on-call position involving evening and weekend hours.
Additional Info & Requirements
- Requires a minimum of one year of public library experience or two years' previous work experience in a customer service/public contact position; and
- Knowledgeable about the Dewey Decimal System and integrated library systems
