Job Description
The Garfield County Public Library District is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and flexible Youth Services Coordinator for the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. Duties include: providing library services and resources to all users, children through adult; planning, promoting, and implementing youth services programs, and conducting story hours; performing outreach activities and collection development.
Previous experience with children and/or teens is required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field and previous library experience preferred. This is a full time (40 hours per week), non-exempt position. Hiring range is $17.00 to $21.00 per hour (DOE), plus benefits. Some nights and weekends required. The Community
Overlooking the parking garage and activity on 9th street is children's area, complete with computers, fun furnishings and a unique early learning installation created by the Burgeon Group of Phoenix. For teens, The library features a special area with computers, comfortable chairs and their own study room. Near the cozy fireplace adults are invited to sit back, relax and read, as well as peruse the special genealogy collection.
