POSITION PURPOSE
The Library Services Coordinator – Youth Services position is responsible administrative work involving a broad range of Library functions. The position reports to the Library Services Manager and may act as Library Services Manager in Manager's absence. The Library Services Coordinator - Youth Services manages and administers all aspects of library services to children and coordinates with Adult Services to deliver services to young adults at both libraries. Work is performed independently with responsibility for making final determinations in accordance with established general policies, and is reviewed by the Library Services Manager. Children and young adult services include Collection Development, Reference and Information, Public Training, Programming, Interlibrary Loan, and Reader's Services. Work hours may include some evenings and weekends.
The full salary range for this position is stated above. Starting wages are negotiable and dependent on the qualifications and experience of each individual candidate. The City of Westminster offers a bonus of up to $1,000 per year depending on the employee's fluency in Spanish, Hmong, and/or Laotian.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, Skills, Formal Training, Licenses, and Certifications
Required:
- Graduation from a four-year college or university, supplemented by an ALA accredited Master's Degree in Library Science
- Experience with planning and implementing early literacy programs
- Previous supervision of Master's level librarians
- At least three (3) years of public library experience at a professional level with experience in services to adults, teens, and children
- Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record
Preferred:
- Experience in developing public library collections
Experience in planning and budgeting, and in promoting children's and young adult library services to the community
