Job Description
Performs a variety of duties in the Loveland Public Library. Reports to the Librarian III assigned to the Adult Services.
The hinging range for this position is $9.00 - $11.50 per hour.
Our Position:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Responsible for shelving books, audio visual materials, daily newspapers, and magazines in the Adult Services area of the library, and shelf reading library materials to insure correct placement. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:May assist with pulling items for interlibrary loans; checking in/out library materials; emptying sorted book bins and checking returned materials for damages and missing items; cleaning audio visual materials; and other duties as assigned.

Dewey decimal system, ability to follow oral and written instructions; to work independently; to complete tasks on time and adapt to a changing library environment.
Education and/or experience:
Previous library and computer experience preferred. Previous experience with Microsoft Office or library circulation software preferred.
Licensure and/or certifications:
None
Working Environment:
Will work in a typical library environment. Work hours to include days, evenings and weekends. Physical activities include sitting, walking, moving, lifting and positioning materials up to 20lbs, moving carts of library materials up to 50lbs, frequent bending and reaching up to shelve materials on library shelves from 5 inches to 80 inches above the floor for extended periods of time.
