Job Description

Typical words you’ll find in a job ad: “attention to detail.” Throw-away language, right?

For our job, it’s not. We consider organizational skills to be sacrosanct, and attention to detail to be among the most valuable traits of an organized person. And while we welcome applicants who like to dig in to the details, we’re also focused on hiring someone who enjoys helping others.

Little or no library experience? That’s ok; service skills of any kind are transferable, no matter if those were gained from waiting tables or working concessions at the carnival.

Key aspects of this part-time Cooperative Purchasing Assistant position:

  • Administrative support activities (various office tasks, some of them actually fun for those who like detail-oriented work)
  • Accounts receivable and payable (creating invoices and processing payments)
  • Entry-level customer support (answering questions from libraries = rewarding!)

Our organization provides a humane and supportive work environment, rich in experiential opportunities for people who are eager to learn, and who want to do work that matters to the world.

HR Info

Apply by sending your material to HR Manager Andrea Pettegrew via email: apettegrew@clicweb.org. Professional references are not required for initial-stage applicants, but will be required of finalists for the position. Should you have any procedural questions, please address those to the HR Manager via email or call 303-422-1150. Application DEADLINE is 11:38 am on Monday, November 7, 2016.

Please submit a non-form cover letter and a professional resume. If your letter begins with “Dear Hiring Manager,” then you’re already off to a bad start.  Please include within your letter an answer to this question: "What does your dream part-time job look like?"  Also, tell us about yourself as it relates to this job opportunity. Not all of the places you’ve worked (hello, that’s in your resume…), and not the trite “I’m a hard-working, dependable, enthusiastic, and experienced person who will make a positive contribution to your organization.” If you’re indeed such a person, believe us, we’ll ferret that out.
