Job Description

This is a student position. You must be currently enrolled in an ALA accredited graduate program in library/information science.

The University of Colorado Denver’s Auraria Library seeks a motivated and professional Library Acquisitions Student Assistant that is currently enrolled in a MLIS degree program. This position offers an opportunity to learn about acquisition workflows and best practices while working in a professional library environment.

Examples of Work Performed: 

  • Assisting the Acquisitions Team with serial renewals.
  • Quality control of order and bibliographic records.
  • Data maintenance in the integrate library system.
  • In-house repair assessment of monographic library materials.
  • Standardization of policy and procedure documentation.

Schedule: 10-15 hours per week. Hours are flexible Monday-Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pm.

Compensation: $16.12/hr.
