Job Description
Kraemer Family Library at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs is seeking applications for two temporary part-time Reference and Instruction Librarians from January 9 through May 13, 2017. Each position will work 16 hours per week and will report to the Director of Instructional and Research Services.
Preference will be given to applications received by December 14, 2016.
Position responsibilities:
- Works at the Research Assistance Desk 6-16 hours a week including nights and weekends.
- Conducts library instruction sessions in several sections of English 1410, a required English composition course with a strong emphasis on research.
- Teaches library workshops on RefWorks and other topics.
- Participates in librarian and staff meetings.
- Opportunities for involvement in other library projects and events.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited library school
- Experience or coursework in library instruction and reference services.
Desired qualifications:
- Experience creating Libguides
Salary: $20.00 per hour
