Job Description
Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library is seeking a part-time Volunteer Coordinator to join our team.
The candidate must be passionate about building community through meaningful volunteer opportunities. Qualified applicants should be excited about matching volunteers with library needs and developing a well-trained and coordinated group of library advocates to support all areas of library service. The applicant must be flexible,enjoy working with people and be able to balance efficiency with relationship building.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train and supervise a volunteer pool
- Develop relationships with University MLS programs to offer internships in all areas of the library
- Oversee the court-ordered community service program
- Provide support and backup to collection management and cataloging team
- Oversee the selection, tracking and processing of all magazines
- Run one Volunteer Fair per year to match organizations with community members who wish to give back to their community

- Experience working in a public library environment
- Experience planning, coordinating, and directing volunteer-related programs
