Job Description
Under the supervision of the Library Director, the Library Assistant primarily provides circulation services & technical support, and assists patrons in the use of the online catalog & other resources. The Marketing & Outreach Library Assistant is also responsible for maintaining the library’s website, updating its Facebook page, publishing press releases, compiling web usage statistics and also for creating the monthly newsletter, flyers and other publicity. The Outreach Assistant may also be asked to assist the staff with programming and other projects.

Job Qualifications
Applicants must have excellent communication & customer service skills and experience working with the public. Must be able to provide support for a diverse group of patrons with a wide range of needs. Strong computer skills and general clerical experience are required. Must be reliable, have patience and be a team player.
Desired Qualifications
Proficient with WordPress, MailChimp, and Microsoft Publisher.
Ability to troubleshoot mobile devices, such as smart phones, tablets, laptops & Kindles.
Retail or library experience.
