Job Description
Fremont County Library System, headquartered in Lander, Wyoming is currently searching for a Library Director. Successful candidate must have a passion for library services in rural communities, possess budget expertise to manage a $2.2 million annual budget, and bring professional knowledge to lead and mentor staff, assuring superior public service and continued technical growth. Collaboration with the library board, government agencies and library organizations is an integral part of the job. Main libraries located in Dubois, Lander and Riverton, along with five “Outpost” libraries, serve a population of 41,000. Necessary qualities include humor, adaptability, diplomacy and professional grace. The director is an active and involved member of the community.
Applicant will have the following qualifications: MLS from an accredited library program, and 5 or more years of progressively responsible public library experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Salary range is mid-$60,000’s with a full benefit package.
