Adams State University is located in historic Alamosa, Colorado, in the beautiful San Luis Valley between the San Juan and Sangre de Cristo mountain ranges. Wildlife abounds in the region and sometimes in town and on campus. The views from our 90-acre campus are stunning and nearby-outdoor recreation is easily found. The valley rests at 7500 feet and is the largest alpine valley in the United States. While Alamosa is a small rural university town, we are just two hours from Santa Fe, New Mexico, 90 minutes from Taos, and 90 minutes to the I-25 corridor which takes you to Pueblo, Colorado Springs, and Denver.
