Job Description
Professional, supervisory and administrative work directing the day to day operation of the Library. Duties include staff scheduling, attention to physical branch facility, selecting, training and evaluating branch staff. Work also includes developing and implementing programs, services and special events to promote use of the library branch and related work as required. Supervision is exercised over a staff of professional, paraprofessional and clerical employees engaged in various phases of library operations. Position reports to Library Director.

MLS required
- Three(3) years of increasingly responsible library supervisory experience
- Experience implementing, overseeing, and reporting grants
- Experience working with civic leaders and community organizations
- Ability to work as part of a customer-focused team
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead
- Demonstrated ability to connect positively with library and community leaders and organizations, library staff, library patrons and the general public
- Must be able to work nights and weekends, stand for extensive periods of time during the work day
- An employee in this class must be physically able to operate a variety of job related machines and/or office equipment and be able to move or carry job related objects or materials
