Job Description
Fort Vancouver Regional Library District (FVRL) is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Technical Services Supervisor opening at our district headquarters.
The Technical Services Supervisor will plan, organize and manage the operation of the Technical Services Department. This includes the acquisition, cataloging, classification and processing of library materials. The position will prioritize and schedule eight staff and daily activities of the technical services staff in the Technical Services department. The position will be responsible for directing work, streamlining work as possible, supervising and evaluating staff. Additionally, the position will answer staff and branch questions concerning catalog records, orders and item records, as well as training other staff as needed.
The ideal candidate would have a technical services background including experience with cataloging, selection, ordering, processing and working with vendors. To be considered for this position candidates must have:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1 -3 years of technical services experience
- Experience in customer service, supervisory or lead worker
The compensation for this position begins at $45,157 per year with an excellent benefits package including health insurance benefits, life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment, short term and long term disability benefits, Washington State PERS retirement and paid time off.
Additional Info & Requirements
Bachelor Degree or equivalent required. One to three years of related experience. Past experience in customer service, supervisory or lead worker experience required
