Job Description

The position is responsible for assisting in the support of the Michigan eLibrary, MeL, and Statewide Library Services, SLS, programs with data collection, compilation, analysis, survey design, written report and data visualization product preparation. The position also provides support in areas of marketing and training for the program as well as general support of project processes, including working with vendors and stakeholders. The position provides website editing and social media application support for MeL and other SLS programs. The position works as a team member to achieve program goals and objectives.

Additional Info & Requirements

  • Knowledge of principles and practice of research and analysis are required.
  • Practical skills in the area of data collection, analysis and reporting are required, including conducting quantitative analytics.
  • Capability to translate data into meaningful content for broad and diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills and highly organized processes.
  • Experience and practical skills with data visualization tools, such as infographics and/or mapping.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, but also able to collaborate and work as part of a team and with diverse partners.
  • Practical skills to develop data visualization products are required
  • Practical skills in area of using online services for communication are required.
  • Practical skills and knowledge in web editing are required.
