SUMMARY: Provide leadership, guidance, support and staff development opportunities to enhance technology integration and information literacy; responsible for facilitating, administering and monitoring the District Technology plan; act as department liaison at the building, district and state level.. EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE: • Master’s degree in a major pertinent to the position requirements. • Minimum of three years of experience in Instructional Technology and/or Library Services. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS: • Criminal background check required for hire. • Certification in Library Media preferred. • State of Colorado Educators License. • Current Administrative Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of entering position. TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES: • Knowledge of Automated Library systems or SIRSI • Basic knowledge of computer programs. • Critical thinking and problem solving skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job. • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. • Ability to manage multiple priorities. • Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Superintendent policies, building and department procedures. • Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds. • Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator. MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE: • Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals. • Operating knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Suite. • Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as telephones, copier, fax machine, E-mail, etc. BUDGET AND/OR RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITY: • This position is responsible for budget development and accountability for the District Media Centers.
