The Archivist position performs professional archival work in support of the Douglas County History Research Center (DCHRC) at Douglas County Libraries in Castle Rock, CO. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing services, programs and outreach within the DCHRC and for the community. This position also performs department management tasks, including establishing policy standards for the acquisition, processing, arrangement, description and accessibility of archival materials. Work is performed with considerable independent judgment and initiative.
WHO YOU ARE:
- A planner and coordinator for DCHRC outreach activities, including the creation of exhibits: responsible for the development, marketing and delivery of DCHRC programming events in collaboration with other staff members and the Community Relations Department.
- A strong communicator (oral and written), interpersonal, and excellent presentation skills.
- Able to work independently, as a team member, and across organizational boundaries.
- A professional, who demonstrates a positive, cooperative, team-oriented working relationship with staff, volunteers and coworkers.

Starting Salary: $1,684.00 Biweekly
Exempt -Full-time (40 hours)
ADDITIONALLY, YOU HAVE:
- A strong command of archival management, materials acquisition, digital and analog preservation, and storage and retrieval of archival materials.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with digitization and digital preservation technology.
- Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills, combined with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
