Job Description

The Norelius Community Library Board of Trustees is seeking a dynamic, outgoing, tech savvy individual with knowledge of social media to fill a vacancy of Youth Services Director.  The Youth Services Department is a busy, fast paced environment.  The individual best suited for this position will possess a love for children, a love of books, enjoy planning, and preparing children’s programming. The Board of Trustees of the Norelius Community Library (Denison, Iowa) seeks a qualified and professional leader to become the next Youth Services Director. The new Youth Services Director willeffectively run a vibrant Youth/Children's department with the Norelius Community Library.  The new Youth Services director will work with a team of 10 staff members who strive to provide friendly and creative library service to an estimated service population of more than 24,000 people area-wide. Minimum qualifications are an a associates Degree from an accredited college or university, professional library experience, and previous supervisory experience. Preference will be given to candidates with a library science background or library experience.
