Job Description
Lead for all public facing duties including circulation, reference, and outreach programs. Provides circulation services such as check-in and check-out of materials, managing patron records. Provides reference in gardening, horticulture, and history of the Gardens. Participates in and creates new outreach activities to promote the library. Responsible for opening and closing of the library, training and supervising volunteers, and maintaining library services for staff and patrons.
Schedule for this position is Saturday - Tuesday, approximately 7 hours each day.

Master of Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution, or equivalent; or minimum four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with library system software, and basic computer programs. Excellent public services skills and communication skills, written and verbal. Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently. Experience working in a science library preferred. Knowledge of horticultural, botanical, and gardening topics desirable.
