This is an ongoing 10-Month Faculty Position
Job Summary:
The librarian faculty member is responsible for the coordination, planning, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related teaching and library instruction activities that take place in the library, classrooms, or online. The faculty member is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Laramie County Community College campus or outreach center as assigned. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction; serving on various committees; and participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities and organizations. In addition, the faculty member is responsible for providing reference and information services and acts as collection development liaison to other college faculty.
Additional Info & Requirements
Minimum:
• Required American Library Association accredited Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science
• Required knowledge of electronic resources, library technologies, and library website development
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in library teaching or public services area in a library environment
Preferred:
•Experience managing academic support in the area of tutoring or writing center
•One or more years of experience in distance learning techniques
•Prior work or educational experience in one of the following areas: humanities, education, social sciences, lab sciences, or mathematics
