Job Description
Douglas County Libraries is currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join DCL’s Public Service Team, as a Patron Services Technician at our Castle Rock Library. The Patron Services Technician at our Castle Rock Library performs a variety of patron contact duties - in person, on the telephone in our DCL Call Center, and online. Duties include assisting patrons with their library accounts, providing readers services and computer/downloadable technology support, as well as contributing to collection merchandising, programming and outreach. The Public Service Team also provides staffing and collection support to the DCL Louviers Library. Work is performed under general supervision.

- An individual who will focus on high-level customer service; serving customers who come into our branch as well as those who call DCL on the telephone. Must practice a “patron comes first” philosophy.
- Flexibility and versatility; able to handle a variety of situations; great problem solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a team member, as well as independently.
- A positive attitude toward staff, volunteers and patrons of all ages, in all contact environments.
