Summary: Responsible for the selection of materials and collection maintenance as part of centralized collection development department.

Education and Experience:
Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited university. Candidates with a Master's degree in a related field and students who will complete their MLIS within 6 months of hire date will also be considered. Two years related work experience required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Spanish or other language in addition to English is desirable.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to gather, interpret and present data.
Certificates and Licenses:
Standard library work environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle, feel, talk and hear. The demands on the visual sense are high. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. The employee is frequently required to push carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
