Job Description

Join an innovative and accomplished public library, continuing outstanding levels of service and effective resource sharing. The City of Longmont seeks two adult services library technicians - one 30 hours and one 40 hours. The Longmont Public Library is a single location, municipal library that participates in regional consortium. With 85 staff (45 FTE) and a budget of $3.5 million, the library serves a vibrant community of more than 95,000 people.

Responsibilities. Library technicians do a variety of tasks; most importantly serve the community at the Reference Desk assisting patrons. Other tasks many include working on planning and executing adult programming, ILL, assisting with collection development, working with special collections such as magazines and microfilm, etc. We are especially looking for candidate with high-level technology skills and/or fluent in Spanish.
