Job Description
Serves as the Libraries’ key resource on how to apply instructional design principles and information literacy concepts to designing innovative library instruction, both in the learning management system and in face-to-face classes. Creates information literacy assignments, activities, and interactive tutorials to support student learning and knowledge creation.
In addition to the responsibilities above:
- Teach research and information literacy skills to undergraduate students in support of UW’s general education curriculum.
- Participate in library instructional initiatives, student engagement programs, and outreach activities.
- Partner with university academic support units and disciplines in support of teaching and learning.
- Serve as a liaison to one or more departments or colleges
- Provide support for adoption and development of Open Educational Resources.

Minimum Qualifications
ALA-accredited MLS, MIS, or equivalent
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
Experience teaching in higher education environments
Demonstrated commitment to principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion
