Job Description
Serves as the Libraries’ primary contact for information literacy instruction and outreach during the first year experience. Works collaboratively with other librarians and with teaching faculty to develop services and strategies to actively engage with students.
In addition to the responsibilities above:
- Teach research and information literacy skills to undergraduate students in support of UW’s general education curriculum.
- Participate in library instructional initiatives, student engagement programs, and outreach activities.
- Partner with university academic support units and disciplines in support of teaching and learning.
- Serve as a liaison to one or more departments or colleges
- Provide support for adoption and development of Open Educational Resources.

Minimum Qualifications
ALA-accredited MLS, MIS, or equivalent
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
Experience teaching in higher education environments
Demonstrated commitment to principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion
