Job Description

The Garfield County Public Library District is seeking a full-time (40 hour per week) Maintenance Manager to join our diverse and talented staff.  This position has the opportunity to make a positive impact on the citizens of, and visitors to, Garfield County by supporting and maintaining our six beautiful library facilities, inside and out, located across Garfield County.  If you have three or more years of experience in general building maintenance and enjoy challenging and rewarding work, this may be the job you've been looking for!  This position is based out of our Rifle Branch but works regularly in all six of our library branches.

The starting wage for this position is $21.00 per hour.  Benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement plan contribution; paid vacation, sick and holidays.  The Library District provides this position with a vehicle for transportation between all GCPLD facilities.  Some nights and weekends may be required, as well as on-call when needed.

The position is open until filled, however, we will begin reviewing applications the week of May 7.  Please view the full job description for experience requirements and download an employment application.  Submit application materials to hr@gcpld.org or fax to 970-665-1101.

The Community

Garfield County encompasses a geographical area of almost 3,000 square miles of which approximately 60% is federal public lands, and the furthest towns are 60 miles apart from each other. The population density is 19 people per square mile.

Our communities are located in beautiful valleys surrounded by high mountain desert, snowy Rocky Mountains, and several amazing tributaries of the Colorado River. A big reason people choose to live in Garfield County is the abundance of outdoor activities, including biking, skiing, soaking in hot springs, fishing, camping, and more.
