The Colorado State University - Pueblo Library enables student success by providing a supportive and collaborative academic environment in which students learn to discover, access, and use information resources effectively; critically explore new ideas and concepts; and develop lifelong learning skills. This position, in collaboration with library faculty and in accordance with Library Strategic Plan goals, manages the library's information literacy instruction program through the development of goals and strategies for program implementation, promotion, and assessment; leads the campus in applying the ACRL Framework; serves as liaison to the General Education Board and the Composition program to integrate information literacy instruction for novice students into lower division courses; internally coordinates library instruction including class schedules, instructor assignments, support and faculty training, assessment, and reporting; works with faculty to develop collaborative teaching and learning projects; creates and maintains print and web based instructional materials.
As a member of the Education, Research, and Outreach Services Division, the Liaison Librarian is involved and engaged in the entire life-cycle of research, teaching and learning, and outreach processes. S/he collaborates with and supports faculty in course-specific ways, including leading efforts to align course learning outcomes with new ACRL Framework, providing point-of-need instruction sessions and assignments, creating research guides and/or tutorials, identifying library materials relevant to the course to embed in Blackboard, place on reserve, or include in course packs, and providing consultation to faculty and students in the department. In addition, the librarian provides a full range of subject specific library services to include collection development, consultation, instruction, reference services, and assessment, and proactively engages in scholarship and service.

As a member of the Education, Research, and Outreach Division, this position will participate in projects as defined by the team. The major job responsibilities for this position include the following:
CSU-Pueblo is a regional, comprehensive university. The 275-acre campus, which overlooks the Front Range of south-central Colorado, is located in Pueblo, approximately 100 miles south of Denver in one of the more culturally dynamic regions of the country. The city is within a short drive of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range, allowing for hiking, mountain climbing, fishing, camping, and skiing.
