Job Description

The Garfield County Public Library District is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Circulation Coordinator to join our talented team at the Rifle Branch Library.

This position is responsible for training and supporting library staff in performing basic circulation functions (i.e., check-in, check-out, holds, claims, notices, etc.); managing the circulation desk, overseeing the use of public computers, and scheduling the staff at the library. This position works closely with the Branch Manager and supports the Branch Manager's goals and expectations. As a member of the District’s Circulation team, the Circulation Coordinator is responsible for understanding and enforcing all District policies and procedures, and supporting the Library District’s mission, vision and values. The Circulation Coordinator is responsible for setting the tone for customer service at the branch. The Circulation Coordinator is expected to be a team leader and a team player.

The ideal candidate has exceptionally strong customer service skills, is adaptable to changing priorities and values others and their contributions. Communication between the other Circulation Coordinators, Branch Managers, and the Executive Director is a priority to ensure all changes to policies and procedures are fully communicated to all staff and training is consistent. A high school diploma/GED is required, two years of college (or equivalent) is preferred. 1 year of experience with Sierra ILS is required

The starting wage for this position is $17.00 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement with employer match; as well as paid time off (vacation, sick and holidays).
