Job Description
The Outreach Driver is responsible for safely driving the Bookmobile to off-site locations where they would assist patrons with account setup and information, searching catalog, handling material requests and check in and out. The Outreach Driver also assists with the care and maintenance of the Bookmobile and may serve as a trainer for other Bookmobile drivers.
This position is to fill Tuesday afternoons/evenings as well as alternate Sunday mornings for a total of 6-10/hours a week, with additional substitute shifts as possible.
Additional Info & Requirements
- Experience driving and maintaining high profile vehicles, such as bus or RV in all conditions and in a variety of settings, ie neighborhoods, highways, parks, etc.
- Knowledge of diesel engines and generators preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with verbal and writing skills
- Supports and contributes to Library goals, objectives and mission statement
- An ability to establish a rapport with all types of patrons
The Community
The Clearview Library District serves Windsor, Severance and West Greeley communities. Bookmobile stops visit all three of these communities with weekly stops and through special events.
