Job Description

The Rhode Island Office of Library and Information Services is seeking a librarian to join our team as the Digital Resources Coordinator.  Duties include performing complex responsibilities in the planning, development, and coordination of digital resources on a statewide basis; evaluating digital resources and their use through collaboration with libraries and consortia; planning and implementing training on digital resources and related technology topics; coordinating, developing and implementing social media and online content for the promotion of resources and agency services; and participating in the planning, development and implementation of a statewide digital library.

Other duties include performing complex professional duties in the delivery of library, information and consultant services on a statewide basis, especially in the area of network services; to assist in the planning and development of program policies, procedures and standards; and to do related work as required.

Additional Info & Requirements

Experience with evaluation of digital resources and data analysis, coding, web design, social media strategies, digitization and metadata, and strong writing and communication skills are preferred.
