Job Description

EAGLE VALLEY LIBRARY DISTRICT is accepting applications for a Children’s Services Specialist at the Avon Public Library. This 40 hour benefited position includes working evenings and weekend rotations. Duties include assisting library patrons in the use of library materials and equipment; processing new library cards; check-in & check-out of library materials; collection of money for library fines; plans and conducts children’s programs; process and catalogue children’s materials and other duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree is required and public library experience is preferred. Written and verbal fluency in English is required and bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply. Pay is $17.70/hr with medical, dental, retirement, holiday, vacation and paid sick leave.   An application form may be printed from our website www.evld.org.
