Job Description

The Charles L. Tutt Library at Colorado College is seeking a Lead Teaching and Learning Librarian.  Reporting to the Library Director, the Lead Teaching and Learning Librarian will lead, develop, and assess library programs supporting teaching and learning; and serve as the library liaison to the literatures and languages departments, developing strategies to actively engage with students and scholars during all phases of the research process.  Applications are due June 6, 2019.  Full position description and application instructions are available at: https://employment.coloradocollege.edu/postings/3917

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in library and/or information science from an ALA accredited institution or equivalent plus a minimum of two years of academic library experience; experience teaching; demonstrated knowledge of information literacy principles and practices; demonstrated commitment to inclusion and willingness to participate in our shared work toward becoming an antiracist institution; interest in serving the needs of a highly-selective residential liberal arts campus; ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing or leading an instructional program an academic or research library; experience developing and assessing learning outcomes; experience working with a first year experience and/or writing program; a record of professional engagement and/or scholarly contributions; graduate degree or coursework in a field relevant to literatures and/or languages.
