Job Description

Garfield County Public Library District is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, energetic, and versatile Youth Services Coordinator for the New Castle Branch Library.  

This position is responsible for: providing library services and resources to all users, children through adult; planning, promoting, and implementing youth services programs, assisting with the design and implementation of the Summer Reading Program, conducting storytime, performing outreach activities, and collection development.  

Some evenings and weekends may be required. 

Previous experience with children age 0-10 and teens is required.  A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and previous library experience is preferred. Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field combined with library experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position is required.

This is a part-time (28 hours per week), non-exempt position. The hiring range is $17.00 to $21.00 per hour (DOE); benefits include paid vacation, sick, and holidays.
