Job Description

The Lone Tree Library, our beautiful and newly remodeled facility, has an exciting F/T (40 hrs/wk) Collection Specialist position available. The position will perform reference and collection maintenance duties. Includes overseeing all aspects of reader’s advisory services, creating thematic displays, weeding library materials, and recommending materials for collection purchase.

Additional Info & Requirements

Starting salary is $3094/mo. with excellent benefits available. Salary could be increased to be commensurate with experience/skills. Must be able to work days, evenings and weekends. Top candidates must have extensive experience with general library collection management and evaluating materials in various formats for deselection. Must have knowledge of office software and library databases, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong communication skills are required to be an effective liaison between the Neighborhood Library branches and the district’s Collection Development department. Experience with coordinating outreach to schools and pre-schools a plus. Strong merchandising skills/experience is strongly preferred. Position requires ability to work on your feet for extensive periods of time.
