Job Description

Join our excellent Bookmobile Driver team at the Douglas County Libraries! The Roxborough/Louviers satellite libraries and bookmobile has an exciting F/T (40 hrs/wk) position available. A full-time employee is preferred, but will consider filling position with two 20 hr/wk part-timers. The position is responsible for preparing and driving the bookmobile to regularly scheduled locations in Castle Pines, Englewood and Parker. Additionally, duties will include providing friendly patron service while performing all circulation and readers’ advisory duties.

A background check and drug screen is required. $13.55 per hr. to start, salary could be increased based on skills/exper. Excellent benefits available. Applications received by July 11, 2008 will receive first consideration. A full-time employee is preferred, but will consider filling position with two 20 hr/wk part-timers. Must have flexibility to work a mix of days, evenings and weekends. Relevant customer service experience and general computer skills are required. Must be able to obtain (within two months of hire, costs covered by the District) and maintain a valid “Class B” Colorado Commercial Driver’s License. HS diploma or GED is required. We prefer a minimum of two years experience driving a bookmobile or commercial vehicle, but this is not required. Applicants must have an excellent driving record.
