Head of Collection Strategies
Colorado State University Libraries seeks a strategic, flexible and results-oriented leader for the position of Head of Collection Strategies. The Head will oversee the library’s general collections in support of the CSU community. Recognizing the limitations and opportunities of new publishing models, the Head will embrace new voices, seek a broad representation of ideas, and use new mediums and technologies in order to assess and provide access to the collection. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Scholarly Communication and Collection Development, the Head is responsible for the fiscal planning, reporting, and management of the general collections budget, and supervises one classified staff member. The successful candidate will possess the abilities to communicate well about collection priorities, provide leadership in new areas of scholarly communication, and participate regionally and in consortia.
This position has the option of being tenure-track or continuing/non-tenure-track faculty.
